Renewal of Licenses

When renewing a license each licensee shall document the successful completion of the required board-aproved continuing education credits. Twenty-four (24) hours of training shall be required for each two (2) year renewal period. Only human related continuing education is accepted.

A maximum of twelve (12) additional hours may be carried over into the next renewal period. Courses may include ethics, business practices, science, and techniques related to massage therapy.Every renewal cycle, you must document at least (3) hours in ethics.

Documentation for Renewal of Licenses

If your renewal form is stamped "Audit", you must attach copies of all of your CE certificates or documentation verifying your attendance. If you renew online you must still send hard copies of your documentation to the KBLMT.

If your renewal form is not stamped "Audit" - do not attach copies of documentation, and do not send in copies if you renew online.

Processing of Renewals

License renewals can not be processed online or by mail until 60 days prior to the expiration date.
